Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, 

Grace and peace, I hope this note finds you well. 

Shortly after our 2022 Diocesan Assembly, the General Secretariat of the Synod released the Working Document for the Continental Stage (DCS). It is a synthesis of the 112 national submissions to the 2023-24 Global Synod on Synodality. Within the DCS is a request that each Diocese develop a process to review the document and offer feedback. However, there is a very short deadline for the feedback process in Australia. All feedback must be submitted to the National Pastoral Research Office by Friday, 9th  December 2022.  

I invite you to participate in the review and feedback of this document by gathering with a small group of people who have committed to reading the DCS, and discuss together how the DCS captures or misses the realities of our local communities.  

The National Pastoral Research Office has provided a Reflection Guide for small groups and an online portal to submit feedback. Further information may be located online at
