For a visitation or appointment to the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, the requirements for incoming overseas Clergy, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Sisters are as follows:

SHORT STAY – 10 DAYS OR LESS
For a short stay Visitation to the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, Clergy, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Sisters are required to:
- Complete the Overseas with Declarations form and present a signed ‘Individual Declaration’ and a ‘Church Authority Statement’ along with an itinerary for the planned visit

LONG STAY (CATEGORY A) – MORE THAN 10 DAYS BUT LESS THAN 30 DAYS
For a long stay Visitation (Category A) to the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, Clergy, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Sisters are required to:
- Complete the Overseas with Declarations form and present a signed ‘Individual Declaration’ and a ‘Church Authority Statement’ and a Police Certificate from the country of residence.

LONG STAY (CATEGORY B) – MORE THAN 30 DAYS
For a long stay Visitation (Category B) to the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, Clergy, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Sisters are required to:
- Complete the Overseas with Declarations form and present a signed ‘Individual Declaration’ and a ‘Church Authority Statement’ and a Police Certificate from the country of residence.
- In addition, please note that an additional South Australian WWCC will be required to be undertaken through the Screening and Verification Authority, to enable compliance with South Australian law.

PLEASE NOTE: Clergy/Religious from an Eastern Rite are considered as Clergy/Religious from another Diocese and should follow the above protocols.
