About us
The Archdiocesan Financial Services Office is responsible to the Archbishop for the finance and property matters of the Archdiocese of Adelaide with the civil legal entity being the Catholic Church Endowment Society Incorporated (CCES Inc.). The Financial Administrator is primarly responsible for all financial matters of the Archdiocese, reporting to the Diocesan Finance Council, which advises the Archbishop on all relevant financial matters, and the Vicar General.
Functions which concern the Financial Services Office include budgeting, accounting, investment portfolio and banking, management of various trusts, fundraising, property matters, IT management, and any other financial dealings.
There are various councils and committees which report to the Diocesan Finance Council, some of which include the Design Review Panel, the Board of the Catholic Development Fund and the Budget Review Committee. The Catholic Development Fund is a major aspect of the financial services of the Archdiocese. Its daily operations are overseen by the Manager of CDF and supported by the CDF staff. The CDF has its own section on the website, which can be visited for more specific information on investments and banking matters.
