Justice Healing and Inclusion provides support to the Archdiocese and its parishes and communities to create a welcoming community where the transformative power of justice, healing, and inclusion flourishes.
Guided by Jesus’ example of love and compassion, we aspire to cultivate an environment that not only seeks justice for the marginalised and oppressed but also actively engages in healing and reconciliation for those who feel isolated or neglected by the Church.
By fostering an inclusive space, we aim to build bridges that connect diverse people, acknowledging and celebrating the richness of faith. Our work is deeply rooted in outreach and welcome.
Comprising of several different areas, the Justice, Healing and Inclusion team serve the Archdiocese through:
- Multiculturalism - The Migrant Chaplains and Pastoral Workers Network
Hospital and Prison Chaplaincy - Ecumenical and Interfaith relations - Diocesan Ecumenical and Interfaith Commission
Ecology - Council for Integral Ecology - Justice and Charity
- Inclusion of those who feel alienated by the church – cultivating a safe space for all.
